Important town of the Marche riviera, very active fishing center and one of the major seaside resorts of the Middle Adriatic, San Benedetto del Tronto, located between the Rivers Tesino to the North and Tronto to the South, has a Long Beach of fine white sand that slopes gently into the sea, characterized by shallow waters.
The promenade is distinguished by the rich vegetation, formed essentially by countless palm trees that also grow on the beach. For this peculiarity, San Benedetto is also referred to as the "Riviera delle palme".
